SuiteCommerce by NetSuite is an enterprise eCommerce tool that brings the core features you need to turn browsers to customers. It has multichannel selling, deep inventory management tools, SEO features, a simple drag-and-drop editor, and multiple themes within different categories. The platform also provides a robust CRM that tracks every interaction you have with customers and keeps tabs on their lifetime value so you can plan accordingly.

Product customization, control over the checkout experience, and customer segmentation give you more options to convert visitors into customers. NetSuite SuiteCommerce does have a few drawbacks. To get a pixel-perfect design, you’ll need to understand CSS and HTML and the pricing isn’t readily available unless you talk to a sales representative. If you can get past those drawbacks then it’s a solid platform to build a thriving eCommerce website.

Unfortunately, NetSuite doesn’t provide publicly available information related to its pricing. This is due in part to the fact that each subscription is tailored to the needs of the brand signing up. What one organization gets may be slightly different from what another organization gets.

The good news is that SuiteCommerce (the eCommerce platform) is integrated with the entire NetSuite software stack which includes CRM, ERP, email marketing, etc. With one application, you can manage a dozen business function and remove the need for separate apps stitched together with APIs. There is no free trial or free plan to test it out before buying but you can request a detailed demo of the product.

NetSuite is an integrated solution that helps you manage your entire operation from a single backend. It has built-in shipping integrations, subscription billing support, newsletter tools, email marketing management, and much more.

Upselling/cross selling

After someone makes a purchase, they’ll be more receptive to a relevant offer from your brand. NetSuite makes it simple to create one-click upsells, cross sells, and downsells based on the rules you set. For example, you can present another product after purchase based on their browsing behavior, the most popular items, or even specific product categories.

Coupons and discounts

The platform gives you a lot of control overpricing. In addition to basic coupons which you can use as a promotional tool, you can present different prices for the same product, offer volume discounts, and even provide credit limits. Each customer can get a personalized experience based on what you’ve discussed previously.

Checkout flow customization

Cart abandonment is a serious problem in eCommerce with some estimates putting it as high as 70%. Part of the challenge is the checkout flow. There may be hidden fees, forced account creation, etc. NetSuite gives you the tools to customize the flow with guest account registration, multipage or single page checkout, different pricing displays, and more.

Design & Templates

NetSuite SuiteCommerce has multiple professional-looking templates that you can use to start building your storefront. NetSuite builds some themes, but many are provided by other organizations which gives you a wide variety of choices. There are multiple categories and you’re able to customize the CSS and HTML to tweak elements until you’re satisfied with the final result. Of course, all themes are mobile-optimized by default.

Ease of Use

NetSuite eCommerce isn’t the easiest tool to use. This is due to the options available for customization and analysis. It takes some getting used to but once you get the hang of it, you’ll be able to quickly spin up or edit products in your store. Dedicate at least a few weeks to learning the ins and outs of the platform.
