Plans & Pricing
They currently offer a special discount: Save 50% with exclusive code: BUILD50 (Full Terms and Conditions can be found on the Web.com website).
Unlike many of its competitors in the website building space, Web.com doesn’t offer a free plan that might allow you to give the platform a test drive. Perhaps that’s because it is a hosting company that offers a website-building platform. Our overview explains their monthly pricing options, but they also have a yearly option that helps you save even more.
Website
This is a plan that is best suited for individuals getting their blog or business started online. For an introductory price of $1.95/mo (rising to $19.99/mo after the first month), you get a free domain name and access to all of the templates and free stock images. You can keep track of the site’s visitors and page views with their easy to read dashboard.
Website + Marketing
This plan is more suited to startups, small businesses, and freelancers. Starting at $3.95 for the first month (then rising to $24.99/mo after the first month), you get everything present in the Website Builder plan, plus a business profile in dozens of local search engines, submission to Google, Yahoo and Bing, and an SEO consulting service with a Web.com expert. Your customers can book appointments, group events, classes, workshops, and more. Plus, you get online payments and deposits.
eCommerce
The first month is priced at $9.95 then goes up to $34.99 thereafter. With this plan, you get all the above features and there are no limits to what you can sell online. The site automatically adjusts product quantities, and allows you to connect to major shipping carriers and print labels right from your dashboard. You can connect your accounting services (such as QuickBooks or Xero), accept online payments with PayPal and Stripe, and more.
Overview
Web.com is considered one of the most affordable DIY site builders on the market, with basic packages that even include a domain name for life. While they don’t offer a free trial package like other popular site builders, they do offer low prices and, combined with their simple site builder, they are a very popular choice among business owners and online stores.
In short, Web.com is a great solution if you don’t need any complicated or customized features and designs for your site. You can easily create a simple and professional website for your business or e-commerce store at affordable prices. There are hundreds of template designs and colors to choose from, and editing a website is extremely straightforward and simple, making it a great solution for people with zero design or coding experience. It is not the most flexible site builder out there and is not suitable for business owners who want to be able to edit every single minor detail of their design and layout.
Features & Functionality
Mobile Optimization
Unlike many of its competitors, Web.com offers a mobile site only as part of a more advanced package. The “mobile theme” costs $1 a month on top of the cost of your existing package and allows you to add and manage a mobile version of your site. There are not many options in terms of design when it comes to the mobile site so if you want more control or have a lot of mobile traffic coming your way, this may not be the best site builder for you.
SEO Tools & Marketing
On Web.com, you have a number of SEO features to choose from in order to promote your website in Google’s search results. The most expensive package comes at around $300 a month and includes complete SEO support and services, as well as monthly consultations with a dedicated SEO expert. If you prefer to do everything yourself, you can contact their support to get SEO tips on writing strong content or sign up for one of their SEO programs to learn about analytics, link building, and getting found in search engines.
Social Media Tools
There are very basic social media tools in the main site builder menu that allow you to add links to your social profiles or share/like buttons. The social networks supported are Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn, and Twitter. Additional profile buttons that link to your social network profiles are available, including YouTube, MySpace, and Pinterest, though you can also add a regular image with a link if the network you want is not there.
e-Commerce
If you choose the e-commerce package, you can quickly set up a shop and sell up to 500 products. Payment options include PayPal and credit cards.
Apps & Plug-ins
The Web.com site builder does not have an app store and only offers a limited number of apps, such as a search box and map. You can, however, add an HTML snippet to your page for custom code.
Design & Templates
There are hundreds of different templates to choose from when creating a site on Web.com, and each one comes in different color variations so you can easily find one that is perfect for your needs. The designs themselves are fairly simple and not particularly impressive compared to the more expensive website builders, but they still look very professional and user-friendly.
Templates are divided into industries, and you can browse each category to find options that are most relevant to your business. You can also choose a blank template if you have your own design in mind and would like to start from scratch.
Editing a template is very simple with an easy-to-use drag-and-drop interface. Once you choose your theme, there isn’t much you can change in terms of the design. You can edit the background image and color and customize font styles, but since there is no CSS or HTML customization available on Web.com, you need to choose a template that is closest to what you want for your final site.
Ease of Use
The site builder is extremely easy to use and is similar to other popular WYSIWYG and drag-and-drop builders, giving you full control of the items on your site.
It is very intuitive, and finding the menus and additional features is easy without having to go through the tutorial and beginner’s guide when you start.
Right-clicking any item on the site will show you its menu, allowing you to edit it, add effects, delete it, and more.
A unique feature, at least when it comes to site builders, is the spell checker at the top of the page, which means you don’t have to type your text in a Word document and then copy-paste it in order to avoid typos. You can type your text directly into the site builder and find any errors as you go along.
Adding new items to the site is very simple. The side menu on the left has six buttons: Content, Images, Media, Apps, Social, and Docs. You can click the item you’re interested in to see a list of items that you can add to your site. Once you’ve chosen, simply drag the item you want to the desired location on the site and that’s it.
The grid lines help you see where text and images can be viewed on your site and items snap into place if you move them out of the designated area to avoid any design issues when you go live.
Customer Support
Web.com offers a number of video tutorials and guides for beginners, as well as a help center with articles on many different topics. If you require additional assistance, you can contact their support team via phone or live chat. There is even a number that you can text with questions! For email, a response can take anywhere from 24 hours to 4 days, so it is best to call in case of urgent matters. Canceling your account can only be done by calling their support team 8 AM – 8 PM (EST) Monday through Friday.

Final Word
Overall, Web.com is a very simple site builder that is easy to use and affordable. Given its price and ease of use, it’s a great solution for users that don’t want to invest much time or money in their website and aren’t looking for unique designs, layouts, or features.
User Reviews
This is a simple solution.
Though this solution is a simple one if your thinking about building a website because the builder is so easy to use, this route is somewhat pricey compared to the other options. It truly is beginner friendly, but if your budget is tight then it could be out of reach for some startups. Other than the price, this is definitely the way to go for someone just getting started with little tech knowledge.

I would like to build a blog to earn extra income. I am not looking to get rich. Just something for extra money to help make ends meet.
Who is responsible for backing up and restoring a website that I build?
Great info , good thanks .
